2nd Shift Shipping Clerk 

Monday - Friday from 12 PM - 8 PM

Essential Duties

The following are the essential duties that I am expected to be able to 
perform considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, 
manipulative skills, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility.
Required essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • How to proof the completed bills of lading
  • How to obtain E-mail messages
  • How to maintain the ship log
  • How to distribute the pick list
  • How to maintain the bills of lading from the outside 
    processors
  • How to load international containers
  • How to determine freight rates for pre-paid freight
  • How to verify freight bills
  • How to update emergency fuel surcharge list
  • How to handle no service shipments

Note: Required to do any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.

Job Qualifications and Requirements 

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical

Must be able to work on a computer as well as sit 
for at least 7 hours of an 8 hour shift.

Skills 

  •  Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be able to type.
  • Must be able to operate fax and copy 
    machines.
  • Must have knowledge of a filing system.
  • Must have knowledge of the AS-400 and SAP 
    computer systems

Experience

Prior Shipping experience required.

safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and 
housekeeping.
