Job Title: Press Operator
Department: Modular

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM with overtime as required

 

Essential Duties

The following are the essential duties that I am expected to be able to
perform considering job knowledge, job environment, effort,
manipulative skills, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility.


Required essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • How to start-up the tile line
  • How to perform style changes
  • How to repair a jam in the Tile Press
  • How to set –up and change beveler heads
  • How to set-up the Back Printer
  • How to thread the press waste to the dumpster
  • How to Inspect and re-inspect the carpet tiles
  • How to perform Die Change
  • How to perform tile width change
  • How to perform individual blade change
  • How to engage the beveller scraper blades
  • How to troubleshoot tile jams
  • How to perform housekeeping duties

Note: Required to do any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.

 

Job Qualifications and Requirements

 

Education
Must have a High School diploma or a GED.


Physical

Must be able to stand throughout the shift.


Skills

No prior skills required.


Experience

Must have modular tile manufacturing experience.


Responsibility

Responsible for meeting the requirements for
safety, quality, efficiency, productivity and
housekeeping.


Training

• Required to complete approximately one (1)
week training under supervision of qualified
associate.
• Required to be licensed through the
Mannington Lift Truck training program. Must
be re-certified every three years.


Other

• Overtime is / may be required.
